Learning about spring

~A little Saturday walk got us to talking about spring.  We Alberta girls never understood the world's fascination with spring.  To us, spring is mud, taking your jacket off because it's finally 0 degrees celcius and bobcat rentals to clear your ridiculously long driveway.  Now that we live in a city with four seasons, we are beginning to understand the beauty of the flowers, the warm air and the birds chattering.  

 ~This spring, there's room for floral skirts and huge walls of greenery.  We will light candles and read poetry and eat puffed wheat squares.  We're going to celebrate the buckets of flowers, and the wild daffodils.  We're going to eat breakfast together so we can remember to be thankful for friendship, orange juice and mornings.
